There is an immediate requirement to understand sustainability throughout the supply chain with it being such a huge agenda item for the industry right now. Buyside members are grappling hugely with the ESG agenda and how they can monitor and measure the sustainability of their service providers, spending loads of time doing desk research to come to a decision on which questions should they be asking, how frequently should they ask them and the best ways to measure and monitor sustainability. Service Providers are being inundated with questionnaires from their customers, with each questionnaire being completely different, resulting in a huge amount of time and effort going into responding. The GSA is hearing from both enterprise buyers and service providers that there needs to be a solution to the constant reinvention of wheels. The GSA has collated the questionnaires from a number of it’s buyside members and looked at the approaches taken by different organisations. Alongside this, the GSA have been working closely with Neo Group and their ESG Adoption Survey aimed at studying the nature and extent of ESG adoption and Sustainability transformation programmes across select IT & Business Service Providers (ITBSPs) that serve global markets. Together we have created a standard question set which will be recommended to both buyers and service providers to use to obtain ESG information and free up the valuable time and effort currently going into this agenda item. In this webinar, Kerry Hallard, CEO of the GSA, shared the latest on the Service Provider Sustainability Maturity Assessment and Hemant Puthli, Managing Director and Partner at Neo Group shared more on the ESG Adoption Survey. We we’re joined by panellists Marcia Balisciano, Global Head of ESG and Corporate Responsibility at RELX who spoke on her ESG journey and Becky Clissmann, MD at the Chancery Lane Project who shared more on the standard ESG clauses that should be going into every contract. |
