Predictions for 2024: Based on the outputs from the GSA- Global Sourcing Association workstreams, the discussions across the membership community and feedback at our lively and immersive Xmas lunch, I would say that our industry’s focus areas for 2024 fall into four clear buckets:

• Sustainability, with a view to building business resilience and mitigating risk, especially vis a vis the supply chain
• All things ESG, with an increased focus on the “social” element
• AI, if you’re not already riding this tsunami, you’ll be left behind, but ethical building and use is key
• People and talent – dispersed all around the globe, including until now little heard of delivery destinations
