Founding Member of FormIGA – the global Industry for Good Alliance
The interest in and adoption of agile sourcing is accelerating, as companies recognise the significant business benefits it delivers, but not only does “agile sourcing” mean different things to different people, but there are no guiding principles as to what good agile sourcing actually looks like.
The GSA aims to change that and is seeking to work with the community to initially develop the guiding principles of agile sourcing and thereafter to go on to develop a best practice methodology and maturity assessment for agile sourcing.
If you are a buyer, service provider or adviser and have any experience in agile sourcing – positive or negative – that you would be willing to share, we would love to have you join our agile sourcing working group and share your insights.
We are hosting our initial forum on Friday 8th September 2.00 - 3.30 pm. It will be an informal facilitated discussion where we aim to achieve the following:
• An agreed definition for agile sourcing
• What are the characteristics of agile sourcing
• What are the behaviours needed for successful agile sourcing
• Clarity on the benefits of agile sourcing
• And a top-level framework to follow in order to apply agile sourcing well
The Forum will be introduced by GSA CEO, Kerry Hallard and the discussion facilitated by GSA Council Member Rosalyn Olney, Managing Director at Source-Re. The Forum will be run under Chatham House rules.
