The Global Sourcing Association is  relaunching its Contracting Working Group to develop the next generation of GSA industry standard terms, updated with practical, balanced contractual clauses covering the use of AI within IT and Professional Services Framework Agreements.

Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way organisations buy, deliver and govern technology and professional services. Yet many organisations are still relying on contract templates that were written long before AI became a core part of service delivery.

This is your opportunity to help shape the industry's approach to some of the most pressing commercial and legal questions, including:

  1. AI transparency and disclosure obligations
  2. Intellectual property and ownership of AI-generated outputs
  3. Confidentiality and data protection when using AI tools
  4. Liability and allocation of risk
  5. Human oversight and governance requirements
  6. Regulatory compliance and evolving legislation
  7. Security, bias, ethics and responsible AI provisions
  8. Supplier obligations and customer rights relating to AI-enabled services

The objective is not to create theoretical guidance, but practical contractual wording that organisations can confidently adopt and adapt. As with previous GSA standard contracts, our aim is to build consensus across buyers, service providers, legal experts and advisors, creating clauses that reduce negotiation time while reflecting emerging best practice.

Whether you are already navigating AI in your contracts or simply want to help shape the standards the industry will use over the coming years, we would be delighted to have your voice at our online table.
