GSA's NORTH EAST SOURCING SUMMIT

On March 7th, the GSA brought its sustainability symposium to Newcastle, hosting the North East Sourcing Summit in partnership with Aspire Technology Solutions.

Together, we shared best practices and thought leadership in the Technology and Business Services industry to advance sourcing practices.

The event began with a focus on G-Cloud 13's potential to revolutionize public sector procurement, followed by discussions on the evolving landscape and implications of the White Paper on Public Sector Procurement.

Our Modern Sourcing panel offered innovative perspectives on procurement and technology transformation, exploring emerging technologies and contracting practices to de-risk technology investments.

Post-lunch, emphasis shifted to ESG importance, with a case study highlighting social value and Impact Sourcing alignment. The Contracting for Good panel showcased commerce's intersection with social responsibility in procurement.

We also delved into Generative AI, examining its benefits as a reasoning agent alongside associated challenges and risks.

Finally, we explored collaboration and technology's transformative potential in the public sector.
